She received her undergraduate degree in business at Simon Fraser University before attaining a CPA designation as a professional accountant. After starting her professional career in the hotel industry, she transitioned into an entrepreneurial role as one of the founders of the popular local restaurant, Blue Canoe. Janet brings all of this experience to her role as a Realtor.
In her downtime, Janet enjoys spending time with family, and nature walks with her dog.

Confident and Knowledgeable
I have known them personally for more than 10 years, and from my broad experience with their conduct in various circles, I was already expecting a high level of quality of service. What we received, however, blew those expectations out of the water.
We spent more than a year waffling on whether to sell, but personal circumstances eventually forced a sale. During that year, Janet was helpful and patient with my many questions. She would often provide unsolicited information on comparables in the neighborhood or other interesting developments, which helped to stay attuned to how the market was changing at any given time, but was never pushy or hovering.
When we finally did decide to put the unit up for sale, the market was turning and time was extremely short. Janet helped prioritize a list of quick hits to make the house more marketable. We made good progress, but as the photo day loomed, Janet picked up a paint brush herself to help make the date. I welcomed the help, but was very surprised by this level of dedication.
In the end, the photos and matterport were incredible. This was partly due to the advance effort, but also because of staging effort and getting the right photographer. Janet is capable, well connected, and knows exactly what she wants for these services.
During the time on the market, there was an open house every weekend, attended by at least Jim or Janet. At the end of every day, we received very detailed reports about visitors and prospects, which really helped keep expectations set appropriately.
Throughout negotiations, they were confident and knowledgeable and communicative. In some very challenging market conditions, we met our selling price expectations within a very short time window and got the quick possession we were looking for. A highly successful outcome for us.
In my opinion, this success is the result of working with a team composed of both Janet and Jim. Their strengths complement each other well. Janet is the back office--extremely detailed and organized and leaves nothing to chance. Jim comes across as the sales guy--gregarious, charismatic and helping buyers dream big. Despite their different strengths, deep market knowledge, unflinching integrity and customer service are at the core in both of them.
I would not hesitate to engage them in the future, and in fact look forward to the chance to do so.

Janet Seney was our efficient realtor when we bought our first townhouse. I was impressed with her from start to finish. She was prompt in arranging viewings for properties that interested us. She was punctual; she was well organized and we kept to her schedule, allowing us to view all the properties in one day. She provided us with a lot of current sales information to help us decide on a price. Above and beyond my expectations
Janet went above and beyond my expectations in the process of selling my townhouse, especially considering her extensive knowledge of strata.
Initially, it seemed a rather daunting experience moving from my home of 45 years, but with Janet's understanding of the housing market and her attention to detail in every aspect, made for a smooth transition.
